Made for use

The OXA shooting stabilizer is always with you, attached to your gun. It allows you to quickly and stable support your gun on angled, vertical or horizontal surfaces.

Using the gripping blades

Open the gripping blade by turning it downwards from the semi-circular opening hole in the blade, which will automatically lock open.

Close the grip blade by pressing the lock release lever on the back of the support and rotate the blade into the frame of the shooting support.

If you want to open the gripping blade silently, press the lock release lever all the way down, swing the blade open at the same time and release the lock release lever.

The tip of the grip blade is very sharp, so always close it after use by pressing the lock release lever located behind the shooting rest and turning the blade against the shooting rest body.

Supporting the weapon

Take the rifle in a normal shooting grip, with your front hand under the fore-end. Place the front of the gun’s stock lightly against a support surface (e.g. a tree or the corner of a building) and push the gun forward with your shoulder until the gripping blade meets it, grips the support surface and supports the weight of the gun. The aim is that gun is in straight and rest on the support surface from the side of the gun’s fore-end and the grip blade. Press the gun with your shoulder against the support surface throughout the aiming and firing process. Depending on the caliber of the gun and the recoil of the gun, the grip blade will come off the support surface due to the recoil of the gun. If necessary, it can be made more effective by pressing the gun forward with your shoulder.

The shooting rest can also be used on horizontal and inclined surfaces, for example when shooting from a stump or fallen tree. When shooting from a horizontal plane, the grip blades are opened on both sides and the gun is lightly lowered onto them.

Stabilizing the rifle with the OXA shooting stabilizer is possible from all shooting positions. After a short practice, the stabilizing can be done quickly and reliably.
